Luqta is a Jordanian marketplace for second-hand goods, built around the moment most deals fall apart: two strangers meeting. We stand in that moment so you do not have to.
Second-hand trade in Jordan runs on bare trust: a post in a group, a phone number, and either a car-park meeting or a transfer to someone you have never met. Whoever goes first carries all the risk, which is why so many deals die before they start.
We decided not to ask anyone to trust a stranger. A Luqta driver collects the item and carries it in our custody; the buyer opens it at their own door and pays once they have seen it. Nobody goes first, and nobody has to rely on the other's good intentions.
We take no commission from sellers at launch. Our revenue is the buyer protection fee — a small percentage of the price with a fixed ceiling. Delivery is priced to cover what it costs us, not to be margin. When any of those numbers changes, it changes on these pages and in the app at the same moment.
From the seller's door to the buyer's, it is in Luqta's custody with a driver accountable for it.
The buyer pays once they have seen what they bought, and the seller is settled the same day they accept.
Fees, offer limits and inspection policy are decided in one place and shown to you before you commit.
Every screen was designed in Arabic and English together, right to left and left to right, with neither bolted onto the other.
Pickup and delivery cover all twelve of Jordan's governorates. Saudi Arabia is the next market.
A small team in Amman across engineering, operations and member support, plus a driver fleet working across the governorates. We hire from the market we serve.
Jordan's trust-first marketplace. A driver collects the item, you open it at your door, and you pay once you have seen it.
